If I Grow Up

The losers walking down the same dusty road
It’s time for the youth to take over the load
I need a friend to give me hand
I could use a ride across the bad lands
I want to do what I want to do for the rest of my life
Why does that require so much sacrifice
It’s the struggles we go through
That make us great
In a world full of hate
Where no one can relate
I gave it my best so I could pass it on
Should I quit my dreams and stop writing songs
The people I count on are busy today
The people that are never supposed to hesitate
So what am I suppose to say
The losers will learn by making mistakes
They’ll learn to stand up on their own
But not before they take over your home
When you try to ride them
They’re harder to handle
Handle all their rage

If I grow up

How to try
If I live for my dreams

My inner kid

The loser in my living space
Fill the room with all their living things
Shirts that stand up on their own
Beer breath smell on my microphone
I know where they are for I was there too
Am I too old no I just don’t care
If I was too old I’d cut my hair
Get out of here and move on somewhere
I’d stop developing my art and songs
Quit my dreams and start selling cars
My music would become a hobby
I’d surround myself with a family
Everyday I’d think about money
And would my days ever be sunny
My skateboard would delaminate
Outside from all the rain
When I try to ride one
It’s harder to handle
Handle all the pain
